Hiccup!

Hey Y'all!

FIRST OF ALL.....It's cold out there Chicago (and everyone else!)... Let your heart be warmed by these precious faces! PLEEEEASE look at how cute these kids are!! I can NOT get over how adorable they are nor can I wait to get back to them!









OK, now that all of our hearts are all filled with the Joy and warmth of their smiling faces... here's the update I have for y'all! I'm finally going back to China! Woohoo! HOWEVER... It's not going to be this week as I had planned. Just a little Hiccup! I'm waiting on 1 final document that, sadly is talking terribly long to be processed and should be done next week (fingers crossed and prayers prayed!). Once that document is in my possession, I just have to take it to the Chinese consulate to have it authenticated... and THEN it's wheels up! The new plan is to head back within the next 2 weeks (feel free to be praying all goes well ;] ). I'm still in need of lots of funding, but I'm taking this leap of faith and trusting that God will continue to provide for my needs, just as He has in the past! He's such a good, good Father and provider that I know He will care for my every need.
So, this is good news! Honestly, I can't really contain my excitement! I'm head over heels excited to be going HOME! I've had an absolutely amazing time with my family and friends here in Chicago, but my heart is yearning to be home with the all the Kids, Ayi's, Zai, and of course my SFCV family! I know that God has big plans for me at SFCV in 2016 and I'm so excited to get back and get started!

So, all that cuteness and a few words, just to say.... Stay tuned for more updates of going back to China, the Kids, the happenings at SFCV, new exciting things in our Therapy program and more! Ni Hao from Shepherd's Field Children's Village!     It's hard to believe that I have already been here for 1 whole month! Some mornings I wake up and and feel like I'm still dreaming, I'm so blessed to have this life be my reality. Be Encouraged

"All of my life, In every season, You are still God, I have a reason to sing,  I have a reason to Worship..."     You may or may not be familiar with Hillsong Music, which is a well-recognized music ministry based out of Hillsong Church in Australia. I truly believe that God has blessed this ministry and has used it to draw others to Himself.  This music has the ability to capture and speak to the depths of our soul and draw you into a time of worship. For the last several weeks, I've been listening to "Hillsongs radio" on Pandora and I love it! Yesterday morning a song came on that I had heard before but had never honed in on the words or their meaning. The words began to speak deeply to my heart and instantly drew me into the tangible presence of God. By now you may have guessed it, that song was entitled " Desert Song". Hong Kong Adventure, Part II

Hey Friends! HK here we come! :) As promised, I'm here to tell you all about my recent adventure to Hong Kong. Several of you may remember that I have a small traveling buddy that accompanies me on my adventures here in china. Her name is I Love You Bear or ILY as I call her. In Early September, ILY and I set out on our most recent adventure to Hong Kong to renew my Chinese visa. If you know me, then you know that I tend not to have the best luck when it comes to traveling. Thankfully this trip was much better than trips in the past. The one and only "hiccup" per say was on during my exit of mainland china. I flew from Beijing to Shanghai and had a short layover before catching a flight to Hong Kong. During this lay over I had to go through Chinese immigration to get my passport stamped to verify my leaving the country.
